Short version: we only collect what we need to deliver your order and answer your questions. We don't sell your data and this site uses no tracking cookies.
Who is responsible

What we collect and why
When you order
Name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (optional, for the carrier), order details and payment status. We need these to perform the contract: to process, ship and support your order. We keep order and invoice data for 7 years because Dutch tax law requires it.
When you contact us
Your name, email address, order number and message. We use these only to answer you, based on our legitimate interest in helping customers. We delete messages 2 years after the conversation ends, unless they relate to an order.
When you sign up for the newsletter
Your email address, based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. We then delete your address from the mailing list.
Who we share it with
Only with the parties we need to run the shop, under a data processing agreement where required:
- Payment provider: [name], to process your payment
- Carrier: [name], to deliver your parcel
- Webshop platform and hosting: [name]
- Email and newsletter service: [name]
- Our accountant, for the bookkeeping
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and loads no third-party analytics. Our fonts are hosted on our own server. We store one functional item in your browser's local storage: the contents of your basket, so they are still there when you come back. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask your permission where the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@ribbonbeast.com and we'll respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection on the entire site.
